反微調課綱學生23日晚間衝進教育部抗議，遭警方驅離，引起軒然大波。不過，24日下午愛國同心會驅車至戒備森嚴的教育部大門口，以高分貝廣播「支持吳(思華)部長」、「拒絕皇民教育」，並當場與現場少數民眾發生口角，愛國同心會總幹事張秀葉還大罵「你們日本皇民就是喜歡被日本人X」！
反課綱行動情勢升高，李應元、姚文智、鄭麗君與陳其邁共4位民進黨立委下午親自到教育部，希望部長吳思華對學生及記者撤告，不過，當他們受訪時，愛國同心會開著招牌紅色廂型車到達教育部門口，隨即開始用大聲公用力放送「支持吳部長」、「拒絕皇民教育」、「日本皇民滾出台灣」等口號。
不過，此舉引起現場少數民眾不滿，向愛國同心會成員回嘴批「黑箱課綱才要滾回去！」雙方發生口角，張秀葉則是破口大罵「你們才是日本雜種課綱」、「別的慰安婦都不是情願的，你們皇民慰安婦都是自願的」，「你們就是喜歡去給日本人X」，言語非常粗俗。
隨後，教育部人員出來接受愛國同心會的陳情書。戒備在教育部前的警察則是派出2至3名員警蒐證，並進行口頭勸阻。
